Hello everyone, apologize on missing the past two days had some schoolwork I needed to take care of, and sleep to catch up on.

 Anyway the 9th day of the war is well underway so here’s a recap. Over the past couple of day’s Russia managed to cut off and take Kherson, this is the first major city to fall to Russian forces and provided Russia with a firm foothold over the Dnieper River in the south. Maripol to the east has been cut off and fighting has only intensified there. And a bit to the north Russian forces fought their way into Zaporozhian Nuclear Powerplant. Most recent reports claim that the fire has been contained and that background radiation is not above safe levels. In the east on the contact front Ukraine made one of their first attacks of the war attacking Horlivka. Reports from a few days ago claim that Ukrainian forces advanced on and have seized part of the city, where they have dug in.

In Kharkov, the Russian offensive continues to flounder after Russian Paratroopers failed to take a military hospital. However consistent and heavy shelling and bombing of the city continue to take out infrastructure and military personal. In Sumy, the city, while cut off has refused to fall to Russia. Breakthrough West of Konotop originally threatened Ukrainian positions in the east, however Russia’s focus on ‘Thunder Runs’ for Kiev has left the Ukrainian rear uncontested. In the north Chernigiv continues to mount a strong resistance holding out despite limited supplies.

And in Kiev the Russian forces have suffered from severe logistical problems with little fuel, ammo, and food reaching their troops. This has caused Russian attacks to drag to a halt on the city, and further movement had been halted for days. Most recent reports now suggest Ukrainian counterattack has cut of a force to the northeast of the city and encircled that. What today will bring is not yet known. The war has been a decisive defensive victory for Ukraine. and they have managed to strike out and attack Russian positions suck as Taganrog airport. Russia seems to be fast running out of time to win a war, with Ukraine buying itself the breathing room it needed.
